The 27-acre "green oasis" features plazas, gardens, pools and promenades that grounds the world's tallest building. The house and grounds had not been updated in several decades, so major renovations were needed inside and out. —Landscape Architecture by Fredell Enterprises, Inc. 70 Hardscape Heaven, San Juan Capistrano The homeowners requested a new entryway leading from the front yard walkway to the courtyard. To complement the multiple types of stone used in the hardscape design the custom archway was faced with brick veneer and adorned with a wrought iron gate. —Landscape Architecture by Elaine Iverson, Altera—Michelle Medaris, LASN 80 Grange Mutual Insurance Headquarters, Columbus, Ohio When Grange Mutual Insurance in Columbus, Ohio outgrew its headquarters, the company decided to expand and continue to invest in the community, rather than relocate and contribute to urban sprawl. —Landscape Architecture by NBBJ, Columbus, Ohio 92 801 Grand Plaza: Remediation Offers Redesign Opportunity Twenty years after construction of the 31,000 sq. ft. plaza surrounding the 44-story 801 Grand Building, the waterproofing had begun to fail, allowing water to leak into the garage and finished spaces below the plaza.
