AmericanHort's focus is to share their knowledge and promote the benefits of plants and managed landscapes through the LoveYourPlants branded content. This content, along with other tips and resources, is shared through NALP's website, The LoveYourLandscape platform emphasizes healthy landscapes and offers guidance by professionals in the landscape and horticulture industries. Both associations seek to raise awareness and provide information through social media outreach and digital ad campaigns. Lance Bennett Becomes President of IES Effective July 1, Lance Bennett has succeeded Cheryl English as a leader of Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Established in 1906, this North American society seeks to improve the lighted environment through lighting education, publication, and programs. With more than 30 years of experience in the lighting industry, Bennett has opened the first international U.S.- based office for a multinational lighting controls company, was a member of the USGBC, the AIA Cornerstone Partner and the IALD Lighting Industry Resource Council. He also served for Cooper Lighting and worked for Eaton's Lighting Business for almost 24 years. Register for NRPA's 2018 Conference The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Annual Conference will take place in Indianapolis, September 25 – 27. The conference will include special events such as keynote presentations, off-site excursions, and an opening reception at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
