86 Landscape Architect and Specifier News I n f o r m a t i o n R e q u e s t # 5 4 3 Applications for E3 Program & Irrigation Foundation Scholarship Program The Irrigation Foundation is accepting applications for their E3 program and scholarship program. The programs are designed to enhance the participants' knowledge in the irrigation industry. The Irrigation Foundation is still accepting applications for its Irrigation E3 program. It provides students and instructors the opportunity to experience and learn about the irrigation industry. The winners will be able to attend the Irrigation Show and Education Conference on December 3-7, in Long Beach, Calif. There, they will have the opportunity to take classes, attend industry sessions and network. The deadline for applications is September 21. The winners will be announced by October 15. Those who have taken, or are currently taking, a class with an irrigation focus in landscape or agriculture fields can apply. The scholarship ranges from $1,000 - $2,500 and will be awarded based on several factors including reference letters, resume and financial need. The period to apply is October 1 – February 15, 2019. Learn in Spanish at the Irrigation Show Qualified Spanish instructors will provide irrigation insight and expertise to your workforce for certification at the 2018 Irrigation Show and Education Conference. The two classes that will be presented in Spanish are "Landscape Irrigation Technician" and "Drip Irrigation Components & Installation for Landscapes." A free exhibits-only pass will be distributed to each person who registers for a class, allowing access to the show floor, presentations and keynote speeches, a new product competition and the IA Watering Hole exhibit hall reception. A CIT exam will also be offered in Spanish. The technician class is the recommended resource to review for the exam. Class participants will be able to earn CEUs and learn new skills. The deadline to register for the CIT exam is November 18, but to get better pricing, register by November 1.
