This design embraces both indoor and outdoor living, reflecting the lifestyle of its clients. An intimate outdoor patio constructed from recycled composite railroad ties features a custom-made fire pit. The patio sinks comfortably into the space created by small gabion walls. A terraced succulent garden leads up to the airy and elegant greenhouse, which, thanks to radiant heating in its floor, offers its owners year-round enjoyment. Founded in 2006 in Philadelphia by David Fierabend, Groundswell Design Group is a multidisciplinary design studio that explores the place-making potentials of hospitality and public space design.
