October 2018 119 Asbury Park Streetscape Asbury Park, NJ As part of the implementation of the Asbury Park Waterfront Redevelopment Plan, Clarke Caton Hintz designed finishes and furnishings for the redeveloped waterfront district. This includes street trees, seating, street lighting, trash receptacles and other site amenities. The design includes a combination of pavement finishes to accent particular uses and areas, and complements existing historic buildings. The streetscape and public space design is setting the tone for over 100 acres of this oceanfront district. PHOTO CREDIT: JEFFREY TOTARO George A. Pruitt Hall Rooftop Garden and Entrance Plaza Trenton, N.J. Thomas Edison State University's George A. Pruitt Hall is a gateway site to downtown Trenton and is a critical component of the university's master plan. The landscape architects at Clarke Caton Hintz were charged with the design of the roof of the parking deck as a garden roof that is used to minimize the flow of rainwater while providing a public outdoor space for students, faculty, and guests. The site provided an additional challenge at the main entry, which was solved using a grand stair entry and plaza flanked by large raised planting beds embracing the corner and street edge.
