October 2018 121 Lankenau Medical Center Wynnewood, Pa. Main Line Health retained Glackin Thomas Panzak to provide land planning and landscape architectural services for the 274,000 SF Heart Pavilion and structured parking facility at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. The campus has been transformed with designated arrival sequences, unified site furnishings and improved environmental features. Throughout the design process Glackin Thomas Panzak worked to provide a welcoming and familiar landscape for the patients, visitors and hospital staff. New features include defined streetscapes and pedestrian ways, outdoor gathering and waiting areas, water elements, healing gardens, green roofs, a wellness farm and sustainable stormwater features. The project received LEED NC Silver certification. Saint Joseph's University – Maguire Campus, Philadelphia, Pa. Saint Joseph's University, located on the edge of Philadelphia, transformed the former Episcopal Academy campus on City Avenue into the new Maguire Campus. An expanded presence on City Avenue allows for a major campus gateway. The interior of the Maguire Campus includes realigned pathways to connect to adjacent campuses, elimination of interior vehicular circulation, new student greens and plazas, and new regulation size athletic fields. The 38-acre site enables the university to dramatically increase their facilities and programs.
