movers & shakers Irrigation industry professional Mauricio Troche has been promoted to national sales and marketing director of Netafim USA Landscape and Turf Division. Troche Mauricio Troche has more than 20 years of experience working in the landscape irrigation industry and will oversee a nationwide staff of regional sales managers. He will direct all landscape and turf sales activities, interacting with distributorships, municipalities, landscape architects and contractors. Troche will also be responsible for initiating sales and marketing programs, new product introductions, education and training. Penn State University Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture���s A.E. Bye Landscape Architecture Archives Research Fellow 2013 will be awarded to Richard Hindle, landscape architect. The review committee reported that Richard Hindle Hindle���s proposal was the most outstanding. His plan to study Bye���s approach to plants ��� from his inspiration by Roberto Burle-Marx, to his adaptations of native plants of the NE U.S. for design ��� would yield results of great interest to students and practitioners of landscape architecture. Phil Handley At Environmental Connection 2013 in San Diego, the International Erosion Control Association Board of Directors elected its officers. The board of directors re-elected Phil Brock Peters Handley, REM, CPESC, CESSWI as president; Brock Peters, CISEC as administrative vice president; Charlie Riling Jr., TRETCNO, ABI, CESSWI as technical vice president; and Julie Etra, CPESC, MS Charlie Riling as international vice president. Also elected are Craig Benson as marketing vice president; Beth Chesson, CPESC, CPSWQ as secretary; and Mike Chase, CPESC, CPSWQ, CESSWI as Julie Etra treasurer. Other board of directors members include Ron Faucher, CPESC and Gustavo Salerno, CPESC. IECA Region One���s Board of Directors is the governing body of the association. It consists Craig Benson of nine members serving three-year terms with three directors being elected each year.
