TBG Partners Announces New President The landscape architecture and planning firm TBG Partners ( www.tbg-inc.com ) has named principal Jim Manskey as the new president of the 27-year-old firm. Founder Earl Broussard will maintain day-to-day involvement and continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors. "Having had the opportunity to know and work with Jim for more than 30 years, I can speak to the caliber of not only his design talents but his people skills and leadership capabilities," commented Earl Broussard. Broussard lauded Jim Manskey's design approach, which he believes has helped bolster the landscape architecture profession in the developmental industry, and expects that under his stewardship the firm will continue to grow and diversify. Mr. Manskey joined TBG in 1997. He opened the firm's Dallas office and oversaw its growth for many years, as well as opening the Fort Worth office in 2010. He received a BSLA from Texas A&M; University in 1979, and today serves on A&M;'s landscape architecture professional advisory board, which mentors students and advises on professional career opportunities. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, American Society of Landscape Architects and the Southlake Executive Forum. The firm was founded in 1987 by Earl Broussard and colleague Tom Afflerbach as a two-man shop in Austin. Today, TBG is a firm of more than 100 professionals with offices in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Tulsa and Fort Lauderdale. The firm provides landscape architecture, planning and environmental graphic design services for a diverse array of project types. Among TBG's award-winning projects are Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, said to be the first LEED Platinum medical facility; renovation of the Texas State Capitol's south grounds; landscape restoration of the Texas governor's mansion; the Omni Dallas Hotel; the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa; the Formula 1 Circuit of the Americas facility in Austin; Hunt Oil headquarters in downtown Dallas; Hall Office Park in Frisco, Texas; Grand Solmar Land's End Resort and Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and such successful master- planned communities as Cinco Ranch (west of Houston), and Riverstone and Sienna Plantation in Sugar Land, Texas. 120-121.indd 120 2/26/14 4:41 PM
