( www.playcore.com ), a designer, manufacturer and marketer of play and recreation products based in Chattanooga, Tenn., announced the acquisition of Power Systems on Jan. 5, 2015. Founded in 1986, Power Systems ( www.power-systems.com ) offers fitness, strength training and sports conditioning products. The acquisition continues PlayCore's growth in the fitness market. Day-to-day operations will continue from Power Systems' facility in Knoxville, Tenn., but will be supported by the management team in PlayCore's Chattanooga office. PlayCore CEO and President Bob Farnsworth noted the acquisition increases the company's presence in the fitness market and "aligns greatly with PlayCore's mission and values." "We are excited about this next phase for Power Systems," said Bruno Pauletto, the founder of Power Systems. PlayCore Acquires Power Systems PlayCore offers a comprehensive array of recreation products, including commercial playground structures, site amenities, outdoor fitness, dog parks, surfacing, aquatic scoreboards and bike storage.
