84 Landscape Architect and Specifier News Gullatte Landscape Architecture Columbus, Georgia Fort Benning Gateway Columbus, Georgia In 2005, Gary Gullatte began working with local business leader John Flournoy to develop a grand vision for visitors and military personnel entering Fort Benning, Georgia. The Gateway is located at the terminal end of I-185 South in Columbus, Georgia. In 2012, the Fort Benning Gateway was dedicated and described by its commanding general as "the greatest entrance to a military installation in the world." The firm was responsible for initial visioning, site selection, design, and construction administration. Gullatte Landscape Architecture is a small landscape architecture firm by design. The company philosophy is to develop meaningful, context-sensitive design solutions for its clients. Gary M. Gullatte, ASLA, LEED AP BD+C, and his two associates have worked together for 20 years. The firm provides landscape architecture services from initial concept through construction administration. For select projects, it also offers construction management services, including contractor selection and project work coordination through completion. The firm's goal is to deliver quality projects within budget and on schedule.
