The aerial view (left) shows the position
of the park along the Houston Ship
Channel. The park entry and parking
lot (lower left of rendering) provide a
wide space for unloading buses, as
education was an important goal of the
park. The park pathways connect each
of the major features and are sprinkled
with interpretive graphics that tell
about Juan Seguin, the old town of
San Jacinto, the Lynchburg Ferry and
the Houston Ship Channel.
